To Host a Qualifier
|
Coach/member must be present for (1/2) half of all DCCA
yearly meetings, October meeting through September meeting. |
|
Coach/member must have a one year waiting period after becoming a
member. |
|
Coach/member must follow all 2003-2004 DCCA Qualifier Rules and
Guidelines. |
|
All qualifier packers must include the
DCCA 2003-2004 Rules and Guidelines in its entirety. |
|
"Role of Parents" notice is to be included with all competition packets. |
|
|
Judges
|
Must have a minimum of three technical judges and one safety judge. |
|
Must be DCCA approved. |
|
Safety judges can judge an unlimited number of qualifiers.
|
|
Technical judges may only judge two qualifiers. |
|
The State Championships will use 5 technical
judges, throwing out the highest and lowest score. There will be no
commentary judge at States. |
|
Judges must stay 1/2 hour after the event. |
|
All decisions made by judges are final. |
|
|
Participants
|
DCCA reserves the right to inspect proof of enrollment for each
participant in Qualifier and/or State competitions. |
|
Participants must have a copy of their 2003-2004 school report cards on
file with their coach. |
|
A coaches failure to bring verification of enrollment may lead to an
automatic disqualification from a competition. |
|
|
Rules and Regulations
|
CYM and All*Star squads will compete and be judged according to their
specified rules and regulations. (Contact DCCA 302-324-1589 for copies of

www.nationalspirit.com for All*Stars.) |
|
A matted surface must cover the competition area and routines must be
performed on that surface. |
|
|
Scoring and Awards
|
Must use current DCCA technical and safety
score sheets. |
|
Judges may use "half-point" judging for qualifying and State
competitions. |
|
Scores are calculated as follows:
|
Each judge's score sheet will be totaled. |
|
The total of all judges' score sheets, excluding the safety judge,
will be calculated. |
|
Any safety or timing penalties will be subtracted from the combined
total of all judges' score sheets. |
|
|
Any team competing in a category with only one team will compete against
a set score for a First Place trophy.
|
Set score is 66 and 2/3% of a perfect score. |
|
If team does not beat the score, they will be awarded a Second Place
trophy. |
|
|
The number of trophies handed out in each category will be decided on a
per competition basis, depending on the number of teams competing in each
category. |

|
To be included in your cover letter or invitation to your competition.

No stunting or walking on competition floors during breaks. |
|
Rules regarding stunts classified as illegal by a governing body
performed on the premises. |
